20 Best Food In Jurong Point Singapore Worth Queuing for

Looking for the best food Jurong Point has to offer to satisfy your craving for good food while enjoying the city tourist centre? Then you’ve gotta check out the list of Jurong Point eateries below.

Legendary Hong Kong dishes up a delicious variety that would do any dim sum fan proud, living up to their brashly arrogant label. All of their meals, from drool-worthy dim sum to springy noodles, are churned out by pairs of seasoned hands, so expect this snug diner to offer a safe bet for consistently great cuisine.

While the different soups make a compelling case with their deceptively rich flavors, their Roasted London Duck ($30++/$58++) is our unequivocal favorite. Its shatteringly crunchy crust gives way to loud breaking noises, revealing thick slabs of meat overflowing with fluids and duck drippings, unfurling in a flurry of umami deliciousness. It’s not the cheapest meal on the menu, but it’s also worth every penny.

PUTIEN has won praise for its delicious variety of Fujian cuisine, which was inspired by owner Fong Chi Chung’s enthusiasm for his hometown’s specialties. While their cuisine has developed over the last two decades, most of their cooking retains the warmth and flavor of a seasoned Putian chef.

Take, for example, their trademark Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon ($10.90++/$21.80++/$32.70++), a simple mix of sun-dried vermicelli, prawns, clams, and pork belly thrown in a pan and turned into a mouthwatering plate of springy and umami-laced noodles.

Sushi-Go is all about convenience, as sushi trains zoom out of their kitchen, zipping along smooth conveyor belts before coming to a complete halt at your table.

Their different meals are not only quickly supplied, but also meet the majority of the criteria for good sushi. The Black Tobiko Gunkan ($2.30) has a deep flavor, while the Ebi Fry Sushi ($1.80) has a pleasant crunchiness and chewiness.

And, with these delectable delicacies only scratching the surface of their 130-item menu, we’re confident you’ll find even more treasures in this treasure trove of cheap sushi.

My Gohan loosely translates to “my dinner,” and that’s precisely what this Japanese restaurant in Jurong Point provides—the hearty warmth of a home-cooked meal. Expect charred mackerel, slabs of salmon belly lavishly coated in teriyaki sauce, and more—all of their a la carte meals seem like what a caring okaasan prepares for her family.

Their main courses are also accompanied by two souzai (side dishes), so round out your meal with potato salad and other appetisers. If you want to trust the chefs’ judgment, go for their combinations like the Akauo Saikyo Yaki (grilled red perch) Set ($14.90), Buta Kaku-ni (braised pig) Set ($9.90), and Hamburg Steak Demi Glace Sauce Set ($12.90).

Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodle’s skilled hands turn an ordinary-looking block of dough into rows of chewy la mian with a series of deft smashes and a few casual tugs.

A dish of these al dente noodles would have sufficed, but this little restaurant takes things to the next level with their Signature Beef Noodles ($10.90+). Their la mian, swimming in a transparent pool of sliced radish, soaks up the sweet and umami-laden broth, accentuating the savouriness of the beef pieces.

If you ask someone where they get the greatest chicken rice, Wee Nam Kee will almost certainly be in the top five. Over the last thirty years, this family favorite has waltzed its way into our stomachs, dazzling us with aromatic platters of Chicken Rice ($4.80+).

Their rice is a moreish delight on its own, with aromatic flecks of garlic and ginger infusing it. The juicy slabs of poached chicken simply add to the overall delectability of the dish.

This proud pastry master ticks all the boxes with their textbook-perfect Egg Tart ($1.90), having kept and improved their recipe for the past 85 years. You’ll be addicted after one mouthful of these nasty guys.

Its toasted crust crumbles away to reveal a smooth dance of sweet and creamy flavors, all complemented by a strong eggy fragrance.

Xing Fu Tang, The Alley Luxe, BCC Tea Studio, Milksha, with a dizzying array of local and international brands opening in 2019, it’s difficult to keep track of which bubble tea spot reigns supreme. Despite this crowded field, Tiger Sugar stands out, serving consumers some of the greatest brown sugar fresh milk in town.

With Don Don Donki taking center stage at its new JCube location, the debut of &JOY Dining Hall in Jurong Point had gone virtually ignored. But not any longer. This posh food court has wooed Westies with its amazing menu, the most popular of which is the ever-famous Ramen KIOU.

This Osaka-based business has finally expanded their 22-store empire to Singapore, delighting ramen-holics with their strong bowls of broth. While their Tomato Cheese Ramen ($14.90) combines the tanginess of tomatoes with the savouriness of cheese, their KIOU Ramen ($13.90) is the uncontested sweetheart of the lot, making a powerful impact with its savoury punch.

Most of us can’t resist a nice smashed fried chicken, and Ayam Penyet Ria honors classic Indonesian snacc with their delicious Ayam Penyet + Nasi ($8.20).

Before delivering the actual knockout blows, they submerge slabs of chicken in a sizzling bath of oil, giving them a shatteringly crispy coating. Repeated mashes with a wooden mallet improve the texture of the already crisp meat, resulting in a pleasant crackling with each bite.

All that remains is to cover the chicken with their unique sambal paste and enjoy the spicy and savory flavors.

Roman.Tei knows what they’re talking about. This popular Jurong Point restaurant not only offers high-quality beef steaks, but also delivers them at reasonable pricing. The majority of their meals are priced around $20, which is an amazing value given the thick and juicy pieces of beef that they pour each bowl with.

Their beef also has a delectable mix of fat and flesh, as well as a seductively smokey sear, such that every mouthful is a moreish potpourri of rich and savory flavors. As a result, the majority of their meals are safe bets for consistently great cuisine, with the Double Beef Jyu ($14.90) sticking out. This dish includes slabs of steak cooked to a wonderful doneness in addition to thin and delicate slices of grilled beef, allowing you to taste the best of both worlds.

Boleh Malaysia! Is a one-stop shop for the greatest authentic cuisine choices from Penang, Kuala Lumpur, and Ipoh.

Penang food appears to be quite popular here, ranging from the eggy Char Kuay Teow full of wok-hei (which has one of the longest lineups); Jalan Cheong Fatt Tze Hokkien Prawn Mee with rich prawn broth; and Loh Bak from the renowned Kedai Kopi Seng Thor Lebih Carnavon Loh shop.

Aside from the smokey dark-sauced KL Hokkien Mee, my favorite food here is the Petaling Street Famous Claypot Chicken Rice, which comes with ample portions of Chinese sausage and juicy well-marinated chicken pieces.

If you’re wandering about the mall and are hungry, stop by this little, simple booth located in Jurong Point’s new wing. By “new,” I mean “newer than the rest of the mall.”

According to my workplace coworker (who is a great gourmet), their Hot and Spicy soup is fantastic, plus it’s just $2!

Image credit: Central Hong Kong Café

Visit any of Central Hong Kong Café’s locations in Jurong Point, Star Vista, or Vivo City to experience the essence of Hong Kong’s street cuisine culture. In the heart of Singapore, dine at one of Hong Kong’s ubiquitous cha chaan tengs (a type of restaurant prevalent in Hong Kong and Macau). The restaurant’s interior is styled after traditional coffee shops, with wallpaper depicting Hong Kong’s busy Central area and important sights such as Victoria Peak and Tsim Sha Tsui.

On the menu, you’ll discover dishes like Beef Brisket Noodles, Wanton Noodles, Luncheon Meat Instant Noodles, Rice Rolls, and Egg Tarts. The majority of food at Central Hong Kong cafés are reasonably priced, with the majority of them costing less than $10.

With its juicy and large pieces of meat served in noodle soup, the café’s Braised Beef Brisket Noodles transported us back to the streets. We also had Fried Lamian with a big portion of shrimp; each mouthful had an unique wok hei taste that had us wiping the dish clean. Order the Curry Fish Balls for sharing – covered in hot and rich curry sauce, every taste will remind you of wandering through Mong Kok or Tsim Sha Tsui in search of street cuisine.

If you have more place in your stomach, try its Hong Kong Chicken Curry on Rice, which has curry-coated chicken fillets draped over fragrant white rice and fluffy chee cheong fun (Hong Kong style rice rolls).

Central Hong Kong Café, with all of its budget-friendly meals, is the place to go for no-frills Hong Kong food that is worth every cent.
